So, I've been getting so many comments on my Spearow (and one on my Articuno picture...though I think that's cause it's out of spite...they admitted that wanted to insult my picture) that it looked nothing likes it...and if you look now I admit that I messed up. So what kind of bird do you all think Spearow looks like? Personally, I could never draw it as a tiny little thing. It's a fairly fierce looking thing. And it does have a sharp beak. People said I made it look too much like an Eagle...which...it doesn't. I didn't even use a reference 'cause I didn't know what kind of bird to make it look like. And yes, Spearow does sound like Sparrow...but they look nothing like Sparrows.
Also, I wanna try my hand at some other pokemon. Which ones should I draw? I wanna try my hand at Ho-oh, Suicune, Raikou, and Entei (and just so you know...I draw Raikou and Entei as cats). I'll just make a list here of other people would be interested in seeing done realistically. I may try to do as many as I can before I go insane.
As for why Nick before Pixar...I'm in school for Traditional Animation and not 3D so I don't have any knowledge of computer animation and that's Pixar's specialty. Plus Pixar's part of Disney now and me and Disney...not friends... Disney hasn't truly made anything too good after The Lion King. A few movies were good. Brother Bear and Lilo and Stitch. TLK 2 was good too. But that's it. They've abandoned their roots for 3D and for Disney I feel that 3D takes away a bit of the magic from their movies. Plus the Disney Channel sucks. My main reason...the Disney Channel just sucks, their movies have gone down the tube ( I still wanna see Bolt though), and I don't think that Disney could do anything that could redeem themselves in my eyes. If I ever got a job there, I wouldn't turn it down, but if I had to choose between Nick and Disney, I'd choose Nick. They're more original.
